Providing Help, and Creating Hope this Christmas Season

Thanks to The Day newspaper, and generous donations provided by the community, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Norwich was able to “Make a Difference” and give a memorable Christmas to a family of six. The family has gone through hardships and requested the help of Catholic Charities to secure housing and obtain basic needs services.  Case workers and staff members worked tirelessly to ensure the family’s stability and security.

On Tuesday, December 24, the Agency received the visit of the whole family, a young couple with children ages ranging from 14 to 7.  In awe and with a grateful heart, the family received various gifts, including toys, clothing, food, gift cards, money, and a microwave! 

The family humbly expressed how grateful they are to The Day newspaper and to those who opened their hearts and gave so generously.  This gesture is sincerely appreciated as it keep us focused on our mission of Providing Help, and Creating Hope.
