As most gathered with friends and family for Thanksgiving, there were many who could not afford dinner for their families.  With the help of many community partners, like the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut, the Connecticut Food Bank, Shop Rite and Stop & Shop, Catholic Charities was able to make Thanksgiving brighter for so many families.  Catholic Charities was able to provide either a turkey or a chicken with all of the fixings to make a healthy and enjoyable meal, or a local grocery store gift card, to 90 families in Norwich, 68 families in New London, 91 families in Willimantic, and 15 families in Middletown.  Donations large and small come together at this time of year and truly make a difference to those in need.  The smiles on the faces of those Catholic Charities serves, is evidence of their impact. Thank you to all who helped those most in need during this holiday season!
